The insole is removable and comes out immediately, to air out and see how much space is left in front. The rest is the geometry of barefoot: zero drop, the insole's sole is level from heel to toe, and the toes retain space to open; the FOAMtech at the heel is soft and adds little weight, without the rigid heel counter that would otherwise be inside; the protective cap covers the front, and the adjustable fastening sets the footwear to size. Underneath, the light and flexible sole bends in the toe area, and the non-slip tread provides friction on wet ground.
