The insole is removable and comes out immediately, to air out and see how much space is left in front. The rest is the geometry of barefoot: zero drop, the sole of the footbeds is level from heel to toe, and the toes keep space to open; the FOAMtech at the heel is soft and adds little weight, without the rigid heel counter that would otherwise be put inside; the protective cap covers the front, and the adjustable fastening sets the footwear to size. Underneath, the lightweight and flexible sole bends in the toe area, and the non-slip tread provides friction on wet ground.
